so this was my pride and joy of the spring semester.
I worked really hard on this and unlike my normal cast pieces, this ended up being a pound and a half or so, and was cast down in the sculpture studio with a much different method.
but it was basically what I’ve done before. Sticks and wax and in this case some plastic gears that also melted out in the kiln.
It came out super awesome and I wish everyone could hold it to really enjoy it.
It measures 9 and a half inches long by 5 inches wide at the mirror and is made from cast bronze.

found some mirrors at the transfer site this summer, cleaned them up best I could, and decided to play around with etching them a bit. I really enjoyed how it came out, but I keep forgetting to get little brackets so I can hang them up.
Not to mention I would have to see myself every time I look at them, and I don’t think I’d enjoy that as much
might donate em to a silent auction coming up for a friend’s play, so someone could enjoy them up on the wall
My first attempt at a lost wax cast ring. A friend of mine wanted me to make something for his girlfriend so he could give it to her when she came up to visit. Got it done in about a week, and I really like the outcome.
I have defeated you, wax. Now we shall make glorious creations.
Sterling silver and lab grown sapphire.
for my few followers:
Thanks for deciding to follow my humble little blog! I haven’t really made a whole lot to speak of recently since I’ve been taking classes full time and working about 24 hours a week.
But hopefully pretty soon here I’ll have a little more to show, since I have a few days to catch up on some projects.
I’ll hopefully have some sculpture pieces to show off by the end of the semester as well, so there’s something to look forward to :D
Thanks again, and hopefully I’ll put some more interesting things on your dash.
“Wiccan Pendant”: This is a pendant that I made for my mother who is a self professed witch and dedicated family matriarch. Initially contracted as a Cartouche style name pendant, I took it upon myself to embellish it and to incorporate elements of Wiccan tradition as well as icons symbolic of our family. The main body of the pendant is hand fabricated from Sterling Silver. The script along the front says “Witch” in Theban, the secret alphabet used by Wiccan practitioners to keep their society secret during times of extreme persecution at the hands of the Catholic Church.
Three stones are bezel set into the symbol of the Goddess, (the most important symbol in the Wiccan faith) at the bottom of the Pendant. The Two on the outside are Emeralds and the center is Black Opal, the birthstones of her three loving, dedicated, and handsome sons.
It now rests on the high alter of my mother’s home, and is used in observance of holy days or anytime she feels the need to be reminded of our undying love for her.
Composed of Sterling Silver, Emerald, Black Opal - 3” long, 1” wide on a Sterling Silver chain.
